German recycling group Interseroh expects its steel and metal segment to turnover some 4m tonnes of steel scrap this year, an increase of around 20% over 2007.
Ian Christmas, Secretary General of IISI, has launched IISI's position paper on a sectoral approach to climate change at the UN conference in Bali. He also appealed to governments to work with the steel industry if future regulatory regimes are to bring about the desired impact on the climate.
