Application Types
  • AISI 201

Known as 304 steel substitute, however, but with lower nickel levels. Normally used in domestic appliances, ornamental, stairs, hooks, knobs or other applications with limited corrosion exposure. The nickel percentage is 3,50 – 5,50.

  • AISI 202

Also known as 304 steel substitute, with higher nickel percentage than 201. Used in domestic appliances, ornamental, stairs, hooks, knobs or other applications with limited corrosion exposure. The nickel percentage is 4,00 – 6,00.

  • AISI 301

For structural purposes; transporter belts; domestic appliances; ironware; diaphragms; automobile ornaments, transportation equipments; aircrafts; pole ironware; fixers (clips, closures, kits); structural parts where high resistance is required in aircrafts, cars, trucks and wagons, railroad cars.

  • AISI 303

Produced in automatic vises and subject to moderate mechanical requests, automotive panels, general factoring; screws; flanges; nails; axis; cables; locks; aircraft components; bushes; automatic screw machines produced parts and other machine equipments.

  • AISI 304

Domestic appliances; structural purposes; chemical and naval industry equipments; pharmaceutical industry; textile industry, tissue and paper industry; oil refinery; heat interchangers; piping and vale parts; frigorific industry; cryogenic facilities; beer warehouses; beer brewing pools; beer stocking tanks; corn meal refinement equipments; dairy equipments; atomic factory reactor dome; steam pipes; nuclear factory equipments and containers; parts for some carbonated beverages depositories; pluvial water descendent conductors; rail cars; chutes.

  • AISI 304L

Coating for charcoal grinds; liquid fertilizers pulverizing tanks; tomato paste stocking tanks; when is needed a lower carbon share than 301 type to restrict the carbide precipitation as a result from welding, specially when parts cannot receive thermal treatment after weld; railroad cars (When there is a need to restrict the carbide precipitation as a result from welding, without posterior thermal treatment).

  • AISI 304H

Equipments where higher resistance is required at higher temperatures associated with major welding requirements.

  • AISI 309

High temperature applications; pipe supports; smothers; cementation boxes; drink tanks; oil burner parts; refinery; chemical goods factory equipments; pump parts; oven coating; boiler components; steam machine forge equipments; heaters, heat exchangers; jet engine parts.

  • AISI 310

Refractory steel for high temperature applications, like air heaters; annealing boxes; drying conservatory; steam forge shields; foundry ovens; coating, ovens transporters and supporters, heat exchangers, ovens floodgates, transporters coils’ cylinders, turbines components etc; face-hardenings box, ink factory equipments, oven vault’s support; gas turbines components; heat exchangers, incinerators, oil burners components, oil refineries equipments, recuperators; tubing of soot puffer, furnace plates; chimneys and oven chimneys floodgates; diaphragm set of turbo spurts engines nipples; cubas of nitrate crystallization; paper factory equipments.

  • AISI 314

Annealing boxes; cementation boxes; thermal treatments accessories; radiation pipes.

  • AISI 316

Pieces that demand high resistance to located corrosion; chemical, druggist, textile, oil, paper, cellulose, rubber, nylon and inks industries equipments; pieces and diverse components used in naval construction; cryogenic equipments; photographic film processing equipments; fermentation cubas, surgical instruments.

  • AISI 316L

Pieces that demand high resistance to located corrosion: Naval, oil, chemistry, druggist, textile, paper and cellulose, rubber, nylon and inks industries equipments; fermentation cubas; valves pieces; tanks; evaporators and agitators; condensers; pieces exposed to maritime atmosphere etc; valves pieces; bombs; when it’s necessary a carbon text lower than 304 type to restrict the carbonets precipitation resultant of the welding, specially when the pieces cannot be thermal treated after the weld; adornments; welded tanks for stockage of chemical and organic products; trays; calcination ovens covering.

  • AISI 316Ti

Better temperature and mechanics resistance than 316L - chemical and petrochemical industries equipments.

  • AISI 317L

Oil platforms, paper and cellulose industries tubing.

  • AISI 321

For welded structures and pieces exposed to heating in carbonet precipitation band; aircraft collecting rings; boilers covering; cabin heaters; cut-fire walls; pressurized vases; oil exhaustion of high pressure systems; chimney covering; aircraft components; super radiating heater; bellows; oil refinery equipments; decorative applications.

  • AISI 347

Equipment and pieces exposed to intermittent heating (427 to 899°C), or those that demand welding without posterior treatment.

  • AISI 410

Valves; bombs; screws and locks; pipe of heating control; springs plate; plate table; cutlery (knives, penknives etc.); measurement instruments; bolters; operating axles; mining machines; manual tools; keys.

  • AISI 420

Cutlery; surgical and dental instruments; rulers; measurers; gears; axles; bolts; rollers,  spherical; mill balls. 

  • AISI 430

Domestic utensils; coin manufacturing; gutters; wash machines; identification plates; nitric acid manufacture equipments; fixing; heaters; reflectors; sinks, places setting (yoke and spoon); automobiles adornments; combustion chamber covering for diesel engines; doors for safes; sinks.

  • AISI 444

Thermal conductivity higher than 304’s.

  • AISI 446

It presents the biggest chromium text of ferritic steel series, presenting a bigger resistance to the corrosion and the oxidation in high temperatures.

  • AISI 904L

Sulfuric and phosphoric acid production, stockage and transport; paper and cellulose factories.
